Product Description Wouldn't this make a great gift for a student, or a commuter? The machine brews right into the thermal travel mug and then shuts itself off, so your favorite coffee lover can simply grab and go!
Amazon.com Review Great for commuters, office professionals, and one-coffee-drinker households, this personal coffeemaker brews 15 ounces of coffee directly into a stainless-steel travel mug. The mug has a rubber handle for a safe grip and a lid to keep coffee hot. It's tapered to a 2-1/2-inch-diameter bottom, so it fits most vehicle cup holders. The coffeemaker itself is designed for an on-the-go coffee drinker. It has a permanent filter--no messy disposable paper filters required--and shuts off automatically after brewing. The mug, filter, filter basket, and mug lid are dishwasher-safe, and the coffeemaker can also be used to heat water for tea, hot chocolate, and instant foods like oatmeal and soup. Made of gleaming black plastic, it measures 9-3/4 inches high, 7 inches wide, and 6 inches deep, and carries a one-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

Everything done WRONG! March 9, 2010 Fahad Pervez (East Elmhurst, NY) Burned my thumb (bad design)!
Stopped working after the first brew... product is extremely cheaply made.
There is no Auto-Off switch (meaning, u can't just stop brewing.. must wait for the carafe to empty out)
Great small machine March 8, 2010 KVictoria (Chicago, IL) I bought this coffeemaker because my husband doesn't drink coffee and there is no way I'm getting up for my morning workout without it. There are not a lot of small models out there, and this one was the most reasonably priced and had very positive reviews. I wish it has a programmable timer on it, but since it only takes about 3 minutes to brew, this is not a big deal. The taste is good enough - not Starbucks quality, but fine for home brewed coffee.
Just right! March 7, 2010 John M. Park (Bristol, RI USA) Perfect coffee maker for a the single cup drinker. Makes the coffee at the right temperature unlike a lot of 12 cup makers where if you make only a couple of cups you have to microwave them to get them hot enough. Excellent deal.
Convenient, but far from perfect March 7, 2010 exstacy nieves (The Midwest) I bought this coffee maker because I live in a dorm and needed something quick that I could take to morning classes, without having to waste a ton of coffee or deal with a french press. I would recommend it for cubicle-dwellers or college students with the caveat that if you're picky about the taste of your coffee, you're not going to be happy. The coffee it brews is not very strong and the plastic cup (only steel on the outside) makes everything taste weird. Luckily, I have a mug that fits and I tend to use that instead now since I hate the plastic aftertaste. Still, I'm considering buying a French Press because the coffee this makes is just not any good.
The other problem with this coffeemaker is its very tedious to clean. When I make hot water for tea or soup, it will often still have coffee grounds. I clean it frequently, but you really have to stay on top of it so all your hot beverages don't taste like coffee.
Finally, the automatic shutoff is probably the smartest feature this has. Never have to worry about leaving the coffeemaker off during a rushed morning. And, to echo other reviewers, if you're worried about spillage, wait until its completely brewed before taking the cup out. It's worth it!
Ms March 5, 2010 Vila A. Pruner (Milwaukie, OR) This is a great little coffeemaker. I have long been a fan Black and Decker products and this unit lives up to its name. It delivers a perfect cup of coffee in just minutes.
