Leaks every time! August 4, 2010 fenton1 The coffee maker is so frustrating.Every time you pour it leaks everywhere.Piece of junk!Everything else is great!p.s
Ok I just got done very lightly sanding down the inside ledge of the pot where you pour out the coffee and now it works great. What a bunch of idiots not to have done this to a good coffee maker originally!!!!!!
Wonderful August 3, 2010 Carolyn We had a Capresso for 11 years and recently the swing door holding the filter would not stay closed so we purchased the MT600 to replace it. I have absolutely nothing but praise for this coffeemaker. The lid works great, no leaking or overflowing, the coffee is HOT for hours. I have not had to use more coffee than before and I like my coffee strong. I was sorry to hear about all the problems others have had but I have not experienced any of those. I would recommend this coffeemaker to anyone.
Excellent but needs a light touch July 18, 2010 W. Barnett (USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought the identical MT500 (made in Portugal rather than China). The coffee maker makes excellent coffee - five stars. It keeps the coffee very hot - some folks have complained about this but no carafe will keep coffee hot if the user is pouring coffee over a period of four hours. If the carafe is left full, it will keep coffee hot for several hours. My wife and I routinely drink coffee over a two-hour period on the weekends and the coffee is hot all the way until the end. The coffee maker did make a mess on two occasions - we traced this to alignment of the carafe under the filter cone and have not had a repeat occurrence since we learned to center the carafe rather than push it to the rear when brewing - this is the one true flaw with this model. For all the other complaints, read the manual. It is very clear regarding not overfilling, not putting too much coffee in the filter, preheating the carafe, etc.
broke after a year July 12, 2010 Coffee Lover (San Jose, CA) I would never buy another capersso coffee maker. It drips out too fast and you dont get the full flavor of the coffee. Also it broke after a little over a year. The pot turns off while it still half full of water. I have to turn it back on 4 times to get all water out.
Bad product - no help from customer service as well.
Bad Coffee July 12, 2010 SKM (Portland, OR) This is a costly coffee maker and it is not worth the money. It does not heat up the water sufficiently to make a good cup of coffee, and then the carafe does not maintain what heat there is. The carafe drips terribly. I am in the process of replacing it.
