Delighted February 22, 2010 olimpia reza (tx,usa) I loved this coffeemaker, it has a sleek design, and works perfectly. Also my coffee tastes better, I think this is because of the metal filter included and the circular water pouring. It is also programmable, so you can set it a night before.
perfect November 27, 2009 Randy Justice (Gallatin, Tennessee) Arrived on time and in great shape, great price. who could ask for more. Oh, it makes great coffee too.
Just bought the second one. Great coffee maker! November 24, 2009 coffee maven (Austin, TX United States) Bought this model at Target a few years back and was VERY pleasantly surprised at how delicious the coffee was. I like that there is a clear window with measurements to show how much water is in the tank. Like the small basket, for better soaking of the coffee. I always use the slower, aroma setting. It does not take THAT much longer and is definitely worth the wait. The basket mechanism is a bit difficult to open sometimes, and the carafe handle can get in the way of things until you get used to how it works. At least three very serious coffee drinking friends have commented favorably after being served coffee from this model. I was surprised that so many people had complaints. My coffee is always hot, not too hot, always strong enough. All I can guess is that there may be some inconsistency between individual coffee makers in this model. Yet the two I purchased work great. I use Starbuck's Italian roast and it tastes wonderful.
You get what you pay for November 14, 2009 R. B. Walch (Fridley, MN) My wife and I did not want to invest heavily in our at-home coffee maker and chose to buy this one. It has been troublesome. Every pour is a potential disaster. I've been drinking (and pouring) coffee for about 10 years, so I thought I'd catch on to the trick of not dribbling coffee everywhere but I never have. The quantity of coffee toasted to oblivion on our unit's warming plate can be measured by the pot at this point.
There's a safety mechanism that sort of prevents the brewed coffee from dripping while the carafe's in use, but sometimes the lid catches (or something), resulting in the basket itself being disengaged. It's cumbersome. Part of the problem, no doubt, is that I'm trying to use it in the wee hours of the morning, but it's a COFFEE MAKER for heaven's sake.
Awesome Coffeemaker October 25, 2009 Cindi Maxham (Minneapolis, MN United States) Once upon a time I had a hand-me-down, ancient Mr. Coffee coffeemaker. It made the best coffee ever, and I thought it was because *I* made the best coffee ever. That coffeemaker died after a combined 20+ years of service in my mother's house, and my first few apartments. I went through a series of replacements, none of which survived more than a year and all of which made HORRID coffee. I got this one for Christmas two years ago. 700 pots of coffee later I can honestly say this coffeemaker is BETTER than the Mr. Coffee it replaced. The single greatest feature is the "aroma" button, which lengthens the brew cycle, making richer, more flavorful coffee. It has just the right balance of bells and whistles and simplicity. I've experienced none of the problems other reviewers listed and chalk them up to user error rather than design flaws. I love this coffeemaker.
