disappointed August 31, 2010 dm This was a disappointment. The first pot of coffee brewed took 20 minutes! The second took little longer. Third time it did not work at all. After that I returned it. Don't think I will ever buy another Black & Decker Coffee maker.
Not consistent August 25, 2010 Mon (Houston, TX United States) This coffee maker is just okay and nothing special. I got it to replace my old one that I was having problems with. This is not a bad coffee maker but it is not very consistent. I could put in the same amount of coffee grounds and water and each time I got a different strength coffee. I like my coffee really strong so I put in enough coffee grounds to make a whole pot but only put in 1 1/2 cup water. There were times I would get my good strong coffee and other times it was very weak and diluted. I didn't change the type of coffee I brewed or anything but yet got an inconsistent cup each time.
The only things I really liked about this coffee maker were the automatic shut off and the programmable setting. It's fine for the most basic cup of coffee or if you aren't trying to get a desired strength. I now have a Tassimo machine and love it. I get my coffee the way I like it.
Black & Decker Coffeemaker Excellent Value August 22, 2010 Donnagene O. Palmer (Warren, OH) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After using this coffeemaker for the past two months, I feel I can recommend the product completely. The look is sleek, and the carafe is has a non-drip spout; the coffeemaker has the programmable feature, plus a permanent filter. A great value for the price.
poor quality coffee maker August 21, 2010 Paul Kahan 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This coffee maker works well. The problem is that when you try to clean the machine, the numbers on the cup filler indicator that tells you how much water to add rub off! Once there are no numbers on the indicator, how do you know how much water to put into the coffee maker. You have to guess if you have added 2 cups, 4 cups etc. It's a great coffee maker, just don't ever clean it or you're out of luck!
Nice looking and compact, but not great for heavy use July 11, 2010 Anastasia Frederick 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I own a hotel and buy coffee makers for all our rooms all the time. This one is nice and compact and looks nice, but we have bought at least 3-4 of these and they have all broken after not much use. I would not recommend it.
